Where Does The Time GO?

Where Does The Time GO?

Last year the Uganda Press Photo Award celebrated its 10th anniversary. 10 years of discovery, storytelling, learning and collaboration!

What started as an effort to celebrate Ugandan photojournalists has morphed into a community ready to connect, learn and grow together with photography and visual literacy education at the forefront.

FOR THE RECORD is a testament to those  years gone by, with contributions from writers, journalists, researchers and photographers from Uganda and across the continent, including, Harriet Anena, Rosebell Kagumire, Maheder Haileslassie, Nana Kofi Acquah, Evelyn Lirri, Lydia Lakwonyero, Juliet Grace Luwedde, Nicholas Opiyo, Watsemba Miriam, Chris Denis Rosenberg and many more. We invite you to journey with us through the years and engage with some beautiful photography alongside insightful articles.

Just as David Tusiime writes in the publication, ‘I want to tell you about what happened but I do not have the words so I'll show you’. Many young photographers have taken up the call to show us, and to tell our stories and theirs, carrying on with the endeavour to document our ongoing histories.

FOR THE RECORD is available online, in libraries, Universities, and Institutions for the public to read, see, and know the Uganda Press Photo Award’s work over the past 10 years.
